January 31

I will be sharing our story, “Sometimes on the way to a dream, you get lost and find a better one” during career day at the Immaculate Heart of Mary High School in Westchester, Illinois, January 31, 2001 at 9am

April 26- 27 2001

  1. Chrissy will be presenting, "The Blessing of the Wind" during the Families Conference.  The Blessing of the Wind is a sacred, traditional ceremony that honors those who care for others.  It uses the elements of wind, fire, water and sound.  Please bring a picture, that you can leave, of someone you care for or someone who needs a miracle. Please also bring a picture, word, or words that represent your life.

March

  1. March 27th Joni and Friends, Let all Creation Worship Him.
    Stephen honored by carrying the Native American Flag.
  2. March 28th Joni and Friends, Fun Night for Families affected by 
    Disability. Stephen's booth clowning and face painting. 

April

  1. April 3rd Children's Hospital interviews, Dept. of Neurology, 
    Ventilator care, Chronic Care social work, Clinical 
    Education, Family Advisory Board Meeting, and Project
    Docc.
  2. April 4th Ronald McDonald House interviews. Children's Place, Chicago, IL.
    Visits, interviews and clowning.
  3. April 5th Assuring Public Competance in Heatlthcare, Chicago, IL.
    Testimony for Health and Human rescources Office for Minoritieson disability affected families and their needs. 
  4. April 10-15th National Foster Parent Association 30th Annual Conference 
    "Team Spirit Fosters Winners" 
    Exhibiting and Presenting Humor is Healing
    Foster parent and support services interviews. 
    Clowning included. 
  5. April 10-15th Interviews, visits with Gillette Children's Hospital, St Paul 
    Children's Hospital, Caregivers Inc., Pediatric Home 
    Respiratory Service, and the Riva House.
    Clowning included.

May

  1. May 10-12th Wisconsin Family Conference, "Circle of Friends"
    Presenting: Living with Joy, Creating Fun, and Laughing 
    Through Tears.  Native American Honoring Ceremony.
    Clowning included at conference and local hospitals. 
  2. May 22-25th Project Docc Training, Long Island, New York.
    Sharing Stephen's life in the inner city of New York, N.Y.
    Clowning included at area hospitals. 
  3. May 27th and 28th. Aurora Annual Pow Wow. Stephen honored during processional by Indian Elders.
  4. May 30-June 2, Book Expo America, Chicago, IL. Stephen and Chris will be learning, clowing, greeting old friends, and meeting new ones.

  1. June 3rd-4th, Villa Maria Academy, Frontenac, WI. 2000 all school reunion. Stephen will be honored by Villa Alumni during mass on Sunday morning.
  2. June 23-25th, Red Wing, MN. 2000 all school reunion. Presenting "Life's Transformations." Participating in author's night
  3. Friday, June 2, 2000,  United Cerebral Palsy Annual Conference, “Building Common Ground.” Stephen and Chrissy will be sharing their story during dinner.  For more information: United Cerebral Palsy of Illinois
